To celebrate the opening of our newest exhibition, Battling the Blaze: A Historic Look at the Frontline of Firefighting, the Museum & Archives of Vernon is excited to present Firefighter Fun Day — a free outdoor community celebration perfect for families!
Join us on Saturday, June 13 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM outside the Museum for an afternoon dedicated to the firefighters who help keep our communities safe.
Bring the whole family and enjoy:
- Fire truck tours
- Meet-and-greet opportunities with local firefighters
- Hands-on games and activities
- Face painting
- Family-friendly outdoor fun
- Community BBQ by donation
This special event offers community members the opportunity to connect with local fire departments, learn more about the history and realities of firefighting in the Okanagan, and celebrate the recent opening of Battling the Blaze.
All BBQ donations will support the Museum & Archives of Vernon’s ongoing exhibitions, educational programming, and community initiatives.
